The Lincolnshire health and care system is facing some very significant financial challenges which are set to grow to a collective deficit of £182m by 2021. The only credible solution to these financial challenges is to deliver health and care services in a radically different, and more cost effective manner than at present.

We can’t afford to sustain what is an outdated system of care – there is too much demand on our hospital system which this year will be over £60m in deficit. We need to rebalance the system and treat people before they reach crisis point.
